bioMérieux: functions of Chairman and CEO separated

(CercleFinance.com) – bioMérieux announces a change in its governance: as of July 1, Alexandre Mérieux will become executive chairman and Pierre Boulud, chief executive officer (CEO), appointments validated on June 13 by its board of directors.

Through this separation of the functions of Chairman and CEO, Pierre Boulud will lead the Management Committee to implement the company’s strategy, while Alexandre Mérieux will focus on the essential issues of general strategy.

Pierre Boulud has been a member of the Management Committee for seven years, three of which as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He joined the in vitro diagnostics specialist in November 2016, after a career at the Boston Consulting Group, then at Ipsen.
