The comeback will have to wait: Birgit Schrowange will not celebrate her TV return on March 7th. According to Sat.1, she is currently curing Covid-19.
Unfortunately, nothing will come of your planned Sat.1 comeback: As the broadcaster announced via Twitter, the opening broadcast of her new series “Birgit’s strong women” on Monday, March 7th, has to be canceled for the time being. She is currently unable to shoot because she has to cure Covid-19, the brief statement says. I wish you a speedy recovery. An alternative date has not yet been announced.
For her TV comeback, Schrowange was supposed to design the Monday evening of the station from March 7th, among other things. In “Birgit’s strong women” (8:15 p.m.), the presenter will meet well-known and unknown women who have a special life story. So there are meetings with the midwife and mother of seven Kerstin or singer Mandy Capristo (31), who burned out after 14 years and found herself again.
In 2019, the withdrawal from TV actually took place
At the start of the series, the broadcaster wanted to broadcast the documentary “Ich, Birgit Schrowange!” (10:15 p.m.) show. In the the moderator tells about her existence as a strong woman and gives insights into her everyday life and her eventful life.
At the end of 2019, after 25 years with RTL, Birgit Schrowange turned her back on her cult show “Extra”. At the time, she said in a statement that she actually wanted to say goodbye to TV completely: “I’m very lucky to be healthy and I want to have more time for my private life and for things that I enjoy and fulfill myself.”
Her planned comeback was announced last December. The presenter is to present other formats on Sat.1. In the spring she will show stories of different families in “We will be more”, which will grow in various ways. In the summer there will also be another series of reports with her.
