Bison smart announces nearly 650 kilometers of traffic jams on Friday

The traffic jams reached nearly 650 kilometers at the height of the day on Friday, classified red in the direction of departures by Bison futé, on the eve of a Saturday expected as “the hardest day of the summer”.

The peak of the day was reached a little before 4 p.m., with 649 kilometers of traffic jams accumulated throughout France. Among the busiest axes, the A7 at the level of the Rhône department still recorded nearly 70 kilometers of traffic jams around 6 p.m. The A8 in the Alpes-Martimes, the A9 in the Gard and the A10 in the Gironde were also still well loaded, for a total of 530 kilometers of traffic jams throughout the territory. The traffic, very dense throughout the day, was however rather below the flows usually observed after 5 p.m.

Bison smart predicts a difficult weekend for this crossover between July and Augustians, especially Saturday, classified black in the direction of departures. “In the continuity of Friday, traffic will remain heavy all night, especially on the A7 motorway between Lyon and Orange. The difficulties will extend until the end of the day”according to Smart Bison.

The A9, A10, A61, A71 and A75 motorways will also be very busy. Bison futé foresees difficulties from Lyon towards Chambéry between the end of Saturday morning and the beginning of the afternoon, and in the Mont-Blanc tunnel towards Italy.
