Bissell releases CrossWave X7 Plus Cordless Pet Pro: a furry floor cleaner?

3

Bissell continues its momentum and releases a new floor cleaner: the CrossWave X7 Plus Cordless Pet Pro. This broom acts as a vacuum cleaner and scrubber, depending on the needs of the user.

To spare us the double chore of vacuuming and mopping, the American floor specialist Bissell announces the release of the CrossWave X7 Plus Cordless Pet Pro. The broom provides these two functions and the brand even announces a 3-in-1 capable of drying the floor. However, we have doubts about the usefulness of this option. Indeed, it did not prove excellent during the tests of the Bissell Crosswave cordless 2582N. It remains to be seen if the technology of the CrossWave X7 Plus Cordless Pet Pro is similar to this.

To ensure the two main functions, the broom is equipped with a roller which is responsible for collecting dust, but also for washing the floor. It is therefore necessary to think about the chronology of the household. Indeed, once the roller is wet, the user will have to wait for it to dry if he wishes to vacuum and not moisten another room. Another option: exchange this roll with the second that Bissell provides with the broom.

Two tanks are provided to leave a certain autonomy to the user. A first of 600 ml is responsible for moistening the roller, while a second of 385 ml recovers the dirty water. Above the latter is placed a sieve: the dirty water then passes through this filter which captures the largest waste. The user must then throw the dust in the trash before emptying the dirty water. Small flat, the dirt can be wet, especially after washing the floor, and we fear then that you will have to get your hands dirty to properly clean the sieve.

Note, however, that it is possible to add detergent to the clean water tank to better clean and deodorize the floors. Bissell also delivers a 1 liter bottle.

A furry device for our companions?

To operate the device, an on/off button is located on the handle, while a second adjusts the suction mode. The user has the choice between hard floors, carpets or “turbo pet” mode. More intense, the latter rotates the brush at 45,000 revolutions per minute to unclog the “dirt left by pets”, as specified by the manufacturer. Because yes, Bissell is primarily aimed at homes with pets, although we do not understand this argument. Indeed, except for this “pet” turbo mode and front LEDs to identify hairs on the ground, nothing seems to be particularly suitable for our four-legged animals. Is.

On the other hand, point of washing mode: it is a trigger which activates this functionality; be careful not to grab it awkwardly.

A last function was considered by Bissell, the self-cleaning of the brush. A touch button on the front of the device would launch the operation consisting of rinsing the roller and rotating it quickly on itself to eject the dirty water. An operation that can be interesting given the impossibility of washing the brush in the machine.

If the CrossWave X7 Plus Cordless Pet Pro looks anything like the Bissell Crosswave Cordless 2582N, our experts will be sure to test it to find out for sure. It is already available for sale at a price of 580 €.
