Bitcoin Whitepaper: Satoshi’s Masterpiece Simply Explained

The white paper, titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” contains all the technical information it needs to launch the blockchain. This technical blueprint was published by the anonymous Bitcoin inventor Satoshi Nakamoto. He (or she) mailed the paper out on a mailing list on October 31, 2008 to a loose association of people who go by the name “Cypherpunks.”

Satoshi provided the blueprint for a groundbreaking electronic money system that works entirely without a central intermediary. Anyone who understands what is in the white paper also understands Bitcoin. But that requires a certain level of technical expertise.
