The explosion in electricity prices is not only a problem for German households, but has also long been evident to e-car drivers at the charging station. A provider popular because of its low prices is now turning the price screw and thus closing the gap to the competition. It will be more expensive for customers.
Maingau Energie is raising prices: e-car drivers have to dig deeper into their pockets
The regional electricity provider Maingau Energie is turning the price screw for car electricity customers. Maingau is not alone in this, but the new pricing policy should be particularly bitter for customers because you can use a charging card from the energy supplier from the Rhine-Main area relatively cheap so far got away from the charging station.

The blocking fees remain unchanged: A further 10 cents are due for every minute started that you unnecessarily occupy a charging station. This applies to AC columns from four hours upwards, you have to release fast chargers after just one hour.

Although other charging providers also charge comparable kWh prices, Maingau is in the middle in the tariff comparison (see Check24). But there is often one monthly basic fee, which Maingau does not demand – you don’t want to shake that either. And even with the price increase, you still have it much better than with a combustion engine.
Over 250,000 charging stations: Customers charge electricity in many European countries
Anyone who purchases electricity for their e-car from Maingau Energie can also use a large number of possible charging stations be happy. In Germany, the focus is on the Rhine-Main area, as the name suggests. A total of 60,000 charging stations are available to customers nationwide, also through cooperations. According to the provider, Maingau customers can charge their batteries at more than 250,000 charging stations across Europe, although higher prices usually apply here.
