Bixby can now respond to you with your voice, here’s how

Less known than its competitors Google Assistant on Android or Siri on iPhone, Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant, still exists. Launched in 2017 on the Galaxy S8, it continues today by updating without necessarily making waves. Faced with his colleagues, he is ultimately far from finishing last. The Korean manufacturer has just launched a fun new feature. You can if you want set Bixby to answer with your voice.

This might sound strange to those of you who hate to hear a recording of theirs. For others, you must first make sure you have updated all apps on Galaxy Store. For the moment, it is not known whether to have the latest version dated OneUI, 5.1.1, is obligatory. In any case, the mobile must be at least 30% charged. How to make Bixby respond with your voice

For train Bixby to use your voice when answering, follow these steps:

  1. Open Bixby by pressing and holding the power button on the mobile or by touching its icon.
  2. Go into Voice language and style.
  3. Touch Create a custom voice at the bottom of the screen. The first time you do this, the system will ask you to download apps from galaxy store. Do it.
  4. Push the button Start to start the procedure.
  5. Read the 10 sentences which will appear over time.
  6. Name the voice after the recordings are finished.

After that, Bixby will “learn” your voice. It may take a while, but as it happens in the background, you can continue to use your smartphone in the meantime. When it’s over, return to Language and voice style to default to the one you just created. Note that it will not be used systematically. It is mainly used for the Bixby Text Call function.
