GamersOrigin, like all other LFL teams that had an academy in Div. 2, sold their slot for 2022.

Umpteenth change for the 2022 season of LFL Div. 2. While the French League of Legends competition will already see a lot of new things for the coming year (the descent of IZI, the rise of PCS Taran, the arrival of JobLife, Lille Esport and beGenius), another structure announced its arrival this Wednesday: BK ROG Esports. And as for the others, this slot buyback comes as Riot will no longer be able to authorize the presence of team academies in the same structure (in this case the LFL) in 2023. In prevention, GamersOrigin has therefore done like the colleagues: the structure puts an end to its presence in Div. 2. Moreover, it was the very last LFL team to have an academy in Div. 2.

The new team, BK ROG Esports, official structure of ASUS ROG, will soon announce its new roster for the season. GamersOrigin explains all the same “to accompany during this first year (the team) by making them benefit from our infrastructures and the experience of our LFL team”. GamersOrigin also announces that it is considering investing in new academic projects on LoL or in other games.

As for ASUS ROG, this is obviously not a first on the esport scene, especially in the Rift. The brand was already present in LFL in the past (ROG Esport), in LVP in 2016 with ASUS ROG Army, but also obviously in LPL with Rogue Warriors, which this year renamed Anyone’s Legend. As a reminder, the LFL Div. 2 season will start on January 17 next, find all the recovery dates on this link.
