Black Friday 2022 – The Einhell TE-CD 18/50 Li-i BL (2 x 2 Ah) screwdriver drill “4 stars” at €104.99 (-30%)

The Einhell TE-CD 18/50 Li-i BL is a rather affordable impact drill/driver given the promised performance. Does this cordless tool offer sufficient performance? This is what we will see…

The Einhell TE-CD 18/50 Li-i BL has serious advantages for a hammer drill at this price. It is not the most efficient in terms of brute force, but it is suitable for many uses that an individual will have to face. Its excellent battery life tops it all off. Certainly very good value for money.

Strong points

  • Brushless motor.
  • Good drilling capacity up to 10 mm.
  • Pretty good at screwing.
  • Very good battery life.
  • Good grip.

Weak points

  • Chuck that lacks bite.
  • Hard-to-use selectors.
  • Quite heavy.
  • Complicated drillings with large diameter in percussion.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The Parkside Performance PABSP 20-LI C2 is a good driver drill overall. It is suitable without any problem for working in wood, even hard, but reaches its limits in certain masonry due to the absence of percussion mode. It is also possible to find more compact models, such as the Metabo BS 18 or even the Bosch Professional GSB 18V-55, but the prices are then no longer the same. As often with the Lidl brand, the price/quality ratio is interesting.
