The first Black Friday offers at Amazon are already online

When does Black Friday week take place at Amazon?

Amazon has revealed the big secret and announced that the online retailer’s Black Friday sale will begin on November 17th, 2023 this year and will last until November 27th. Of course, the biggest discounts can be expected on Black Friday itself (November 24th).

Some of the items listed above may now be sold out. The particularly cheap bargains are always very popular. If you see a deal that interests you, you shouldn’t hesitate too long.

This is how we determined the comparison prices

When comparing prices, we use the price search engine geizhals.de. On the one hand, we compare the offer with the manufacturer’s recommended retail price (RRP), which usually reflects the costs at market launch. On the other hand, of course, we look at how much other reputable online retailers charge for a product.

This is usually the more interesting comparison, as the RRP usually differs significantly from the current street price. When comparing with other dealers, we only consider well-known and reputable dealers with appropriate ratings and a company headquarters in Germany. We generally leave out smaller eBay or Amazon Marketplace sellers in our price comparison.

Lightning offers and last minute offers

In addition to the daily offers, Amazon also has so-called lightning offers. These are only valid for a few hours and the number of discounted products is also limited. New lightning offers are activated every 15 or 30 minutes throughout the day.

On special days like Black Friday or Cyber ​​Monday, there can also be new lightning offers every five minutes. If you like a product, put it in your virtual shopping cart. You then only have 15 minutes to pay at the checkout.

Shipping

For non-Prime members, shipping costs apply to Amazon orders for purchases under 39 euros. Prime customers only have to pay for same-day delivery under 20 euros or for shipping items without youth approval. DThese fees apply to you as a non-Prime member:

• Standard shipping for media products, Amazon devices as well as fashion and sports clothing: 2.99 euros (1.99 euros for delivery to a pickup point or locker)

The Amazon Marketplace has a special status. Shipping costs may apply equally to non-Prime and Prime customers.

Returns and Exchanges

Your right of return or cancellation at Amazon is 30 days. There are also exceptions here in the Marketplace. Depending on the seller, you may only have 14 days to return it. Amazon is currently granting you an extended right of return until January 31, 2024, but only if the items were purchased between November 1 and December 31, 2023.

Tip: Always process returns via the Amazon website. For many products you will receive a return slip and can send the goods back free of charge.

As is usual in online retail, there is no general right to exchange the item for an identical product (e.g. clothing in a different size). For some goods you can select “replace” when returning them. In most cases, however, only returns are possible.

Amazon Trade In

Amazon recently launched a new trade-in program for TV sets. You can exchange your old Fire TV for a new one at the mail order company. To do this, the value is first determined based on the specified state. You will then receive an Amazon voucher for the determined device value and a 20 percent discount on a new Fire TV device.

Financing purchases – these options are available

Many products such as large kitchen appliances, televisions or notebooks are not exactly cheap. Not everyone can afford these devices with a one-time payment. If you still want to fulfill a long-cherished wish or are dependent on a quick new purchase, financing is an option in this case.

In this regard, Amazon is more difficult than other retailers. On the one hand, with the Amazon credit card you have the opportunity to finance expensive products with monthly installments. However, high interest rates of almost 15 percent apply here.

On the other hand, the mail order company offers a partial payment option for some products. Here you can pay for goods in five monthly payments and do so without interest. However, the availability of 5-month financing is severely limited. This is usually offered on Amazon’s own products. In some cases you can also find them at other retailers on the platform.
