“Black Panther 2” will be in cinemas in a few months, but it has only now been announced that “Nope” star Daniel Kaluuya will not be returning as W’Kabi in the Marvel sequel.

  • “Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” not only has to do without Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Kaluuya is also not in the new Marvel blockbuster.
  • So there will be no W’Kabi reunion in Wakanda, but Kaluuya’s absence fits in with a recent plot leak.

In November 2022, Marvel fans will travel back to Wakanda, because that’s when “Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” finally starts in cinemas. Although the film was finished in March, it has only now become clear that Daniel Kaluuya will not be seen in the Marvel sequel.

Kaluuya, who played T’Challa’s best friend W’Kabi in ‘Black Panther,’ will be starring in the upcoming horror film ‘Nope’ directed by Jordan Peele (‘Get Out’, ‘We’). The filming of “Nope” made it impossible for Kaluuya to return as W’Kabi.

Knowing that W’Kabi won’t be a part of “Black Panther 2” gives a recent leak of the film more credibility. In the alleged synopsis of the plot of the film, W’Kabi was never mentioned.

“Nope” with Daniel Kaluuya starts in German cinemas on August 11th. Meanwhile, Marvel fans can enjoy Thor: Love and Thunder, stream the Ms. Marvel finale on Disney+, or wait for the new series She-Hulk: The Lawyer to be released on the streaming service in August.
