Letitia Wright was injured on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in August. Since she has not yet recovered, filming is stopped.

Last August, US actress Letitia Wright (28, “Ready Player One”) was injured while filming the Marvel sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. Three months later, her recovery appears to be continuing, because as the industry journal “Variety” confirmed, the production takes a longer compulsory break.

The shooting stop is scheduled to begin in the week of the US holiday Thanksgiving, which this year is celebrated on November 25th. According to the report, the production break will last until the beginning of 2022, a total of at least six weeks.

Letitia Wright had to go to hospital for a stunt accident

Letitia Wright was temporarily hospitalized in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, in the summer after a shooting accident. The extent of her injuries was not disclosed at the time, but a stunt rope system is believed to have been involved in the incident.

At the time of the accident, no major impact on the shooting schedule was expected. Director Ryan Coogler (35, “Creed”) continued the work mainly in Atlanta, Georgia, while Wright recovered in the British capital, London. Spokespersons for the actress have now announced that she is “looking forward to being able to go back to work in early 2022”.

“Black Panther” sequel is scheduled to start in November 2022

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the sequel to the 2018 Marvel film, which starred the late Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020). Not much is known about the plot of the sequel, which is due to hit theaters in November 2022 after a recent postponement.

Letitia Wright will once again be seen in the role of Shuri, the younger, brilliant sister of T’Challa, who develops new technology for Wakanda. In addition to her, other stars of the first blockbuster are returning – including Daniel Kaluuya (32) and Lupita Nyong’o (38).
