A young driver drove his car off the Ossiacher Tauernstrasse (L 47) in Carinthia on Sunday night and crashed into a tree root.
“The young driver’s vision was black, so he must have lost control of his vehicle,” said the Glanhofen fire department, which rushed to the scene of the accident shortly after 10 p.m. with the Radweg, Feldkirchen and St. Ulrich fire departments. The car crashed into a rootstock and a front wheel was torn off. The young man had to be rescued from the vehicle by emergency services and was taken by ambulance to Klagenfurt Hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. The security work on Ossiacher Tauernstrasse was completed after an hour.
