Black Panther
The end of Phase IV of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), which began with the series Wanda Vision, comes to its conclusion. Next November, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will therefore end the current phase. The film will be the direct sequel to Black Panther, available on DVD or on Blu-Ray. The first film was set in Katanga, and followed the story of King T’challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. A film with a real identity, despite a last third which quickly returned to the tracks of the Marvel blockbuster.
Ant Man
Phase V will officially begin with the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniathird part of the adventures of Ant-Man, started in 2015 with the eponymous film Ant Man, available on DVD and Blu-Ray. Written by Edgard Wright, to whom we owe the famous Cornetto trilogy, Ant Man tells the story of Scott Lang Alias Ant-Man, who has the power to shrink or increase his size at will. A power that allows inventive and rather funny visual finds, for one of the lightest films of the MCU.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Light too are the adventures of Guardians of the Galaxy, whose volume 2, available on DVD and Blu-Ray is one of the best films in the Marvel universe. Full of visual finds, abundant, epic and funny, Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2 is a tribute to Sci-Fi pulp. Effectively directed by James Gunn, director from the series B, the film will see its third installment arriving in 2023 as part of Phase V.
Captain America: First Avenger
Another pulp entertainment par excellence, the first film Captain America: First Avenger is part of the Fnac offer. On DVD or Blu-Ray, find the adventures of Steve Rogers, alias Captain America. Directed by Joe Johnston, director of the cult Honey, I Shrunk the Kidsor Jumanji, the film is excellent family entertainment that has an undeniable charm. A very good introduction to one of the most interesting characters in the MCU.
Avengers: Endgame
A few years and films later, Steve Rogers concludes his arc in the most beautiful way, in Avengers: Endgame, the 22nd MCU film. Available on DVD and Blu-Ray, Avengers: Endgame marks the end of the “infinity gems” cycle. Epic entertainment par excellence, despite its few lengths, this fourth film avengers delivers spectacular scenes, like more intimate moments.
