(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission has authorized, under the EC Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of Invenergy Renewables, an American company, by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a Canadian company , Blackstone and Invenergy IRH, both American companies.
The operation mainly concerns the renewable energy sector.
The Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not present on the same or vertically linked markets.
