The first game from Polish studio The Parasight, Blacktail puts us in control of Yaga, who this time isn’t an ugly granny but a 16-year-old outcast accused of witchcraft. Abandoned by her only ally, her missing sister Zora, Yaga grabs her bow and embarks on an adventure that will determine her place in a world that doesn’t want her.
As this new presentation video explains, the game consists of exploring the forest to collect resources which will be used in particular to make all kinds of arrows and potions. We see a table of skills to unlock to become ever more agile and powerful against the creatures of the woods, some also acting as strange interlocutors.
“As you learn to wield your bow and unleash your powers, you will become either a benevolent or an evil witch, depending on the moral choices you make.“, explains Focus.
