Prime time offshoot with Elton will soon start on RTL

Elton now on RTL: From the end of September, a longer version of “Blamieren oder Kassen” will run every Thursday before the Europa League.
“Blamieren oder Kassen” starts on September 21st in prime time. The XL branch of the game known from “TV Total” or “Beat the Star” then runs every Thursday at 8:15 p.m. This gave RTL announced in a press release. The Cologne broadcaster stole the segment known from its shows from competitor ProSieben in June – including the traditional moderator Elton (52).
“Blamieren oder Kassieren” will run for half an hour from the end of September. RTL will then show the Europa League football broadcast from 8:45 p.m.
The mode will remain similar to the one known from the ProSieben shows, even in the longer format. Two candidates have to answer questions, whoever buzzes first and answers correctly gets a point. Elton suspects the secret of success in the simple game principle. “Questions are asked and whoever knows the most answers wins. That’s all,” RTL quoted his newcomer as saying.
“Embarrass or collect”: These celebrity candidates are there
In the new “blame or collect” two celebrities compete against each other. The winner must compete against a candidate from the audience that Elton chooses.
RTL has already announced the first celebrities. Actress Susan Sideropoulos (42), comedian Michael Mittermeier (57), “Let’s Dance” juror Joachim Llambi (59), singer Sasha (51), presenter Andrea Kiewel (58) and cult footballer Kevin Großkreutz (35) are there.
“Blamieren oder Kassassen” appeared for the first time on “TV Total”. Every Tuesday, Stefan Raab (56) competed against a spectator. The then “show intern” Elton moderated the quiz in a red jacket. The game was also regularly used in “Schlag den Raab” or the follow-up shows such as “Schlag den Star”.
ProSieben also tried a long version of the game last year. “Blamieren oder Kassieren XL” ran for six episodes in the summer of 2022.
