Blanca on M6: will there be a season 2 for the Italian detective series?

While M6 is broadcasting the last two episodes of “Blanca” this Saturday evening, find out if the Italian detective series worn by Maria Chiara Giannetta and Giuseppe Zeno will return for a season 2.

Launched on January 7 on M6, the Italian detective series Blanca is about to bow out after 6 weeks on the air. In this final double episode, broadcast from 9:10 p.m., viewers will finally find out who killed Blanca’s sister several years earlier, but also what the true identity of Nanni (Pierpaolo Spollon) is.

An end of season 1 which therefore offers endings to all the intrigues in progress, but leaves in suspense the romantic meanderings of our two protagonists camped by Maria Chiara Giannetta and Giuseppe Zeno.

Is a season 2 planned?

Let Blanca fans be reassured, a season 2 of the detective fiction has indeed been commissioned by Lux Vide, the production company. The series has indeed met with great success in its country of origin, bringing together no less than 5.4 million curious people on average during its broadcast on Rai 1.

It is therefore no surprise that the channel has decided to renew Blanca for a new burst of episodes. However, the French public will have to be patient before being able to discover the rest of the detective series since the filming of this season 2 began last November, for a broadcast in Italy scheduled for the end of the year 2023, or even the beginning of the year 2024. For the moment, no information has filtered on the intrigues, and the common thread of this season 2.

NCIS: Hawaii next Saturday

To replace Blanca, M6 will offer from Saturday February 18 NCIS: Hawaii, the newcomer to the NCIS universe. Worn by Vanessa Lachey, the detective series follows Jane Tennant, the first female special agent in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

This mother of a family rose through the ranks thanks to her confidence and her strategy, in a system dominated by men and which pushed her back at every step. With her unwavering team of specialists, she balances her duty to her family and her country, while investigating crimes involving military personnel.

See you this Saturday, February 11 from 9:10 p.m. to discover the last two episodes of Blanca. Season 1 is already available in full on Salto.
