BlastR banned a la DreamHack, Solary seizes the situation

Malow “BlastR” Orrieux got banned from Fortnite during DreamHack in Sweden but Solary finds the decision “scandalous” and wants to claim.

For over a year now, BlastR has been a member of the Solary Fortnite team, now alongside Magl, Floki, Clement and Egrm. He is one of the few French players still active in the game to have participated in the Fortnite World Cup in 2019, which is still remarkable.

And this weekend, from June 18 to 20, DreamHack Summer took place in Sweden where the 5 Fortnite players from Solary went to participate in the two tournaments: Zero Construction and Battle Royale.

DreamHack

$100,000 was up for grabs in every tournament this weekend at DreamHack Summer.

And on the first day of competition, even before it was noon, BlastR received a message on his Fortnite account stating that he had just been banned for 14 days with the following reason:

“Team up with a competitor. Thank you for adopting a sporting behavior when playing Fortnite!”

To put some context in this unfortunate story: BlastR was playing in the first sessions of the Zero Construction tournament and he was moving in a truck to position himself. Except one of his opponents got into his truck, the problem being that players can’t shoot each other while in a truck. It is for this reason that he was banned for 14 days from the game and 2 seasons from FNCS, the most important competition in Fortnite.

As of this writing, BlastR’s situation has unfortunately still not changed and he will have spent the end of his LAN coaching and watching other players. To cheer him up a bit, his teammate Clement still made it to the podium in the final of the Battle Royale tournament to pocket $5,500.

In any case, we hope that the situation of BlastR will unblock so that he can at least continue to participate in the next seasons of FNCS.
