Blizzard, which has just been acquired by Microsoft, unveiled, on January 25, 2022, a survival game, which will take place in a whole new universe. These are, at present, the only information we have on the title, since no name, final or temporary, or anything else has been communicated. However, thanks to the social networks of the developers, we can learn a little more about this mysterious project.
First, this project, led by Craig Amai, would be in development since July 2017, i.e. 4 years and 3 months, at the time of this writing, as indicated by his LinkedIn page. This may therefore imply that the production is already well advanced, and that a revelation may not be so far away as we imagined when announcing this survival game.
Secondly, Mike Ybarra, co-president of Blizzard, explains on his Twitter account that he ” played many hours on this project ” and be ” incredibly excited about the team vision and this new world “. Words which obviously have a commercial and marketing connotation, in order to highlight the announcement, but which will not fail to arouse the interest, even a little more, of the community.

However, we will have to wait a few more months, barring a nice surprise from Blizzard, before knowing more about this mysterious survival game, which will take place in a new universe.
