(Boursier.com) — BNP Paribas Asset Management announces the launch of BNP Paribas Agility Co-Invest Fund 2 SLP (“Agility 2”), a Specialized Professional Fund (FPS) approved by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF). This is the second year of BNPP AM’s Private Equity co-investment strategy in Europe, following the full deployment of BNPP Agility Fund, a €739 million co-investment fund raised in 2020 and 2021.

Agility 2 aims to build a resilient and diversified portfolio of 30 to 50 minority investments in Europe. Investments will be made in the form of co-investments, GP-Led or Flex-Equity operations, with a size of between 10 and 50 million euros.

Agility 2 will be managed by an experienced team of 15 investment professionals based in Paris, Brussels and Madrid with a 15-year track record in the analysis and selection of investment opportunities. The team will rely on the Private Assets fund selection platform and its network of 170 GPs and 15 billion euros of assets under management (including advisory) in order to generate co-investment opportunities with best European Private Equity funds.
Agility 2 aims for a target size of 700 to 900 million euros and will benefit from an initial investment of 300 million euros from the BNP Paribas Group. Agility 2 is a fund classified as Article 8 according to European SFDR regulations.

Lionel Gomez and Damien Fournier, co-heads of the Private Equity team at BNPP AM, explain: “Agility 2 builds on the success of the first vintage. It will benefit from increased origination capabilities thanks to the fund selection platform of BNPP AM Private Assets and strengthened ESG capabilities with the support of the BNPP AM Sustainability Center. This new vintage is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our ability to target the best investments in terms of risk/return through diversification and our strategy active portfolio construction.”

Agility 2 will be managed by BNPP AM Private Assets, a specialized investment division created in early 2023. BNPP AM Private Assets brings together all of the private management expertise of the BNP Paribas Group and has 35 billion euros of assets under management and advice.
