Mourning for Bo Hopkins: The US actor died on Saturday at the age of 84.
For more than 50 years he stood in front of numerous film cameras. Now the US actor Bo Hopkins (1938-2022) is dead. His wife Sian has that “The Hollywood Reporters” approved. Accordingly, Hopkins suffered a heart attack in early May. On May 28, at a hospital in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles, he closed his eyes forever at the age of 84. He was best known for his roles in Hollywood classics such as “The Wild Bunch” and “American Graffiti”.
On the US actor’s website A statement said: “Bo loved hearing from his fans around the world and while he hasn’t been able to reply to every email over the past few years, he really appreciated hearing from each and every one of you. “
From villain to hero
Bo Hopkins has been making big blockbusters since the 1960s. He made a name for himself primarily through roles as a villain, for example in “The Wild Bunch” (1969), “Getaway” (1972), “American Graffiti” (1973), “The Tiger Rushing the Pack” (1973) or “12 o’clock at night – Midnight Express” (1978).
He also gained further notoriety through the role of the sheriff in Quentin Tarantino’s (59) “From Dusk Till Dawn 2 – Texas Blood Money” (1999). He has also appeared in the series The Denver Clan, The A-Team, Charlie’s Angels and Murder is Her Hobby. Most recently, he played a supporting role in the Netflix drama “Hillbilly-Elegie” (2020) alongside Glenn Close (75).
Hopkins leaves behind his wife and their two children.
