Warning, spoilers. It is advisable to have seen episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett before continuing to read this article.

After a successful episode 5, which marked the masterful return of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), The Book of Boba Fett continues its momentum with episode 6 which still gives pride of place to the Mandalorian.

Which is not to displease Star Wars fans, who are even ironic about the success of these last two episodes of a series that is supposed to be devoted to the bounty hunter played by Temuera Morrison. Admission of failure or real strategy to start season 3 of The Mandalorian? Internet users prefer to laugh about it.

Directed by Dave Filoni, this chapter 6 provoked a lot of reactions from fans who were happy to see the Jedi universe again with the screen presence of Grogu, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill and a good dose of de-aging) , always with his faithful R2-D2, and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson).

Grogu’s training, which echoes that of a younger Luke with Master Yoda, and his memories of Order 66 have rekindled strong emotions among fans.

Parallels between Luke Skywalker and his father Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) have also struck a chord with aficionados, with lines reminiscent of the prelogy or Master/Apprentice bond between Ahsoka and Anakin.

“Translation: Who doesn’t like a nod to the prelogy?”

“Translation: To see these two in the same plane… The padawan and the son of Anakin Skywalker… It’s… unreal…”

Even if these returns are pleasing, fans are frustrated to see that Din Djarin and Grogu do not really find each other. The Mandalorian left him a gift, an armor, which Luke agrees to give Grogu if he decides not to take Jedi training anymore. The little creature will have to choose its path: Jedi or Mandalorian?

“Translation: We almost had a reunion between Din Djarin and Grogu, I’m sick of it”

While Grogu’s choice is still uncertain, fans are delighted with the improvement in Luke’s digital rejuvenation in this episode, compared to The Mandalorian season 2 finale.

In addition to these returns, it was also the arrival of a character that made fans scream with happiness: the live action introduction of the bounty hunter Cad Bane (Corey Burton), seen in the animated series The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch. And for his grand entrance, the bounty hunter attacks Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant), who is also making a remarkable comeback.

While waiting for a final episode, which could perhaps see Harrison Ford return in the skin of Han Solo according to rumours, chapter 6 of the Book of Boba Fett delighted the spectators, who see in this episode a true homage to Star Wars, a “Spider-Man: No Way Home” version with all these appearances, a legendary chapter and a tour de force from Dave Filoni.

“Translation: Dave Filoni just gave us a Star Wars event that lived up to the hype of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Absolutely historic.”
