Boeing: $348 million contract with the British army


(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announces that it has signed a $348 million contract with the British Ministry of Defense (MOD) to provide training for teams as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the new fleet of 50 Apache helicopters British Army AH-64E.

In addition to allowing the army to maintain and develop its operational capabilities, this contract valid until 2040 will allow the creation and maintenance of hundreds of jobs in the United Kingdom.

Boeing finally specifies that the ‘E’ version of the AH-64 is ‘the most advanced’ and is based on an open systems architecture, including the latest communication, navigation, sensor and weapon systems.

14 of the 50 helicopters have already been delivered to the UK, with full delivery expected to be completed by 2024.
