(CercleFinance.com) – Boeing announces that it has delivered its first reconditioned CH-47 Chinook, the first in a series of 17 helicopters, to the Spanish army. This operation will allow Madrid to modernize its Chinook fleet, moving from the CH-47 ‘D’ version to the CH-47 ‘F’ version.
“We are delighted to celebrate this major milestone with the Spanish military,” said Heather McBryan, business development manager for Boeing Cargo Helicopters and Future Vertical Lift programs. ‘The Chinook continues to exceed our customers’ expectations and the F version will provide Spain with a performing and reliable device’.
Boeing specifies that other European customers have also been seduced by the Chinook: the Netherlands recently withdrew their last CH-47 ‘D’ in favor of the ‘F’ model, while the United Kingdom bought CH- 47 more to modernize its fleet.
