(CercleFinance.com) – Iraqi Airways today celebrated the delivery of the first of ten Boeing 787 Dreamliners that the company has ordered from Boeing to ‘profitably expand its long-haul network and connect Iraq to destinations more international.
Boeing says Iraqi Airways has ordered a total of six 737-8s and ten 737-10s, giving its single-aisle fleet more capacity on its regional and medium-haul routes.
Iraqi Airways currently flies to more than 50 destinations from Baghdad.
“As global air traffic rebounds, airlines in the Middle East are seeing more than a 40% increase in traffic compared to last year,” Boeing said.
