Vinci appoints an operational general director, prepares the succession of Xavier Huillard

The president of Vinci Construction Pierre Anjolras has been appointed operational general manager of the Vinci group, which constitutes “the first step in the implementation of the succession plan” of CEO Xavier Huillard, the construction and concessions group announced on Monday.

Mr. Anjolras, 58, will report to Xavier Huillard and will be responsible for supervising the group’s operational activities in its various sectors of activity. His appointment was unanimously approved at a Vinci board meeting on May 3, according to the press release.

The position of operational general director did not exist until now within the group which has two deputy general directors, Pierre Coppey and Christian Labeyrie.

Mr. Huillard’s mandate as CEO of Vinci, which employs 280,000 people in 120 countries, will end on April 17, 2025 at the end of the general meeting called to approve the 2024 accounts, included in the group’s financial agenda. .

His mandates as director and chairman of the board of directors remain in effect until the general meeting of shareholders in 2026.

Mr. Anjolras, a graduate of Polytechnique and a civil engineer, joined Vinci in 1999 as general manager of Sogea Sud-Ouest. In 2004, he was operations director of Cofiroute, before being appointed general director of ASF in 2007 (two Vinci Autoroutes networks).

In 2010, Mr. Anjolras was appointed deputy general director in charge of international affairs and public-private partnerships at Eurovia, then CEO in 2014, and he joined the Vinci executive committee.

At the start of 2021, Xavier Huillard appointed Mr. Anjolras president of Vinci Construction and entrusted him with the mission of bringing together Eurovia and Vinci Construction.
