(CercleFinance.com) – The Boeing Company announces that it will represent the aviation sector in a global alliance jointly established by the US government and the World Economic Forum aimed at accelerating clean technologies and reducing carbon emissions .
This alliance, called First Movers Coalition (FMC) was created at the end of 2021 in order to accelerate the pace of decarbonization of industrial sectors such as maritime transport, chemicals and trucking.
As part of its new role, Boeing is committed to supporting greater commercialization of sustainable aviation fuels and advancing other low-carbon technologies.
Scaling up sustainable solutions is key to the aviation sector’s goal of net zero emissions by 2050 and the broader goal of keeping global temperatures 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
