(AOF) – Bolloré received an offer from the MSC Group, a major player in container transport and logistics, for the acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics, bringing together all of its transport and logistics activities in Africa, on the basis of with an enterprise value, net of minority interests, of 5.7 billion euros. The diversified group has granted exclusivity to the MSC Group until March 31, 2022 so that the latter can, at the end of an additional audit phase and contractual negotiations, give it, if necessary, a pledge of purchase.
The decision of the Bolloré Group to exercise this promise and the signing of the related agreements could only take place after the information and consultation procedures of the competent employee representative bodies and certain reorganization operations internal to the Bolloré Group. .
Completion of the sale would be subject to obtaining regulatory authorizations and the relevant competition authorities as well as the approval of some of Bolloré Africa Logistics’ counterparties.
The Bolloré Group will make known, when the time comes, the results of these exclusive negotiations.
