Bombardier: 2022 Results Above Target

(CercleFinance.com) – Bombardier said on Thursday that it had achieved an “exceptional” performance in 2022 and declared that it was moving towards sustained growth this year.

Canadian aircraft maker says revenue hit $6.9 billion last year, up 14% on higher aircraft delivered and service revenue after-sales.

Its earnings before financial expense, tax, depreciation and amortization (adjusted EBITDA) rose 45% to $930 million, thanks to firm Global 7500 business jet pricing and cost reductions.

In its press release, the company says it has exceeded the objectives it had revised upwards in August 2022.

Regarding 2023, the Montreal group says it expects revenues of more than $7.6 billion, mainly due to an increase in the number of aircraft deliveries which should be more than 138, compared to 123 in 2022.

Its adjusted EBITDA should stand at more than 1,125 million dollars, an increase of 21% compared to 2022, still thanks to the strength of Global 7500 prices and the company’s cost reduction plan.

Listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the class ‘B’ title fell 1.4% Thursday at the very start of the session.
