Bonnie Strange: That helped her through her depression

Bonnie Strange spoke in an interview with "Bunte" about how she has been haunted by depression since she was a child.

Bonnie Strange (34) spoke for the first time about her mental illness in an interview. Even as a child, the model wanted to see a therapist, as she told the "Bunte": "But my Russian parents didn't allow that. In Russia, you are automatically considered crazy if you get psychological help."

It wasn't until much later that she actually went into therapy: "I couldn't even drive to the airport for a job any more and I always needed someone to accompany me. I knew it couldn't go on like this." But that didn't help her either.

Instead, she found a different solution to her problems: "The first time in my life that I was really really happy was when I started doing sports. All my friends have always said that sport is like therapy, but me never believed it. " Now she has even designed her own sports collection.

Her life has changed significantly in other ways as well: Her daughter Goldie Venus was born two years ago and she is raising her alone. "When she's around me, I'm happy," said Strange of her daughter. The 34-year-old also emigrated from Berlin to Ibiza. "That was the best decision of my life." The way of life also means that the influencer can now – despite the difficult times – say about herself: "To be honest, I'm totally fine."
