Bonnie Strange didn’t feel like going to a Halloween party this year: She canceled the party because of the “terribly sad world situation.”

Model and musician Bonnie Strange (37) skipped Halloween this year. While many celebrities slipped into costumes and celebrated – especially Heidi Klum (50) in New York – she didn’t feel like having scary fun. And there is a very specific reason for this.

This is how Bonnie Strange explains the cancellation of her party

In an Instagram story The mother of one revealed why she canceled her Halloween party. “Due to the terribly sad world situation,” she wanted to forego celebrating. The 37-year-old with Russian roots, who was once celebrated as an It girl, continued: “It doesn’t feel right to decorate gravestones and skeletons and paint yourself with fake blood and celebrate while death, blood and horror are for so is a reality for many people right now.” This means that she is primarily looking at Ukraine and Israel/Gaza.

Bonnie Strange, who used to be very present in the German media and was a guest at many parties, changed her life significantly after the birth of her daughter Goldie Venus (5). From Berlin she moved to Ibiza and withdrew somewhat from the public eye. “It was the best decision of my life,” she said of her move. She once attracted a lot of attention with her private life. From 2010 to 2012 she was with Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (33), and the two were even engaged. In 2013 she married the blogger Carl Jakob Haupt (1984-2019). The marriage only lasted a year. The relationship with her daughter’s father, actor Leebo Freeman (35), also quickly fell apart. The couple separated before the birth.
