New restrictions for concerts and collective venues
As a result of the closure of nightclubs, new measures will apply from next Monday (January 3, 2022) and for 3 weeks :
- Large gatherings limited to 2,000 people indoors, 5,000 people outdoors;
- Standing concerts prohibited;
- Consumption of prohibited foods and drinks in cinemas, theaters, public transport (including long distance), sports halls;
- Consumption in bars and cafes should be done sitting down only, not standing up.
For the New Year, Jean Castex called to respect barrier gestures, to ventilate the rooms, to screen oneself beforehand. All greeting ceremonies scheduled for January 2022 will be canceled.
From the start of the school year, recourse to teleworking is made compulsory in all companies where it is possible, 3 days a week and 4 days when possible.
” The wearing of the mask will be extended and better respected in all city centers », Added Jean Castex. The mayors and prefects will be able to specify the application of this doctrine.

Outline of the vaccine pass
As part of the transformation of the health pass into a vaccination pass, in places where the pass already applies – sports halls, museums, restaurants, etc. – you will have to justify being vaccinated to be able to enter. A negative screening test will no longer suffice. If the bill is passed, it will come into force on January 15, 2022.
