Boris Becker takes Oliver Pocher to court for a “Pocher – dangerously honest” post. Pocher hopes for “attendance”.
Tennis legend Boris Becker (54) has sued moderator and comedian Oliver Pocher (44) for a contribution to the TV show “Pocher – dangerously honest” (RTL). Becker lawyer Samy Hammad (52) from Offenburg explained to the “Bild” newspaper on Tuesday afternoon: “We demand a cessation from Pocher. It’s about the unauthorized transmission of film material. Boris Becker was ridiculed.”
The date for the “civil matter Boris Becker against Oliver Poche” was actually planned for mid-May, but the Offenburg district court had announced a postponement. “The oral hearing scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in the civil case Boris Becker against Oliver Pocher for omission (file number 2 O 20/21) was canceled at short notice due to the illness of one of the participants,” it said in the corresponding media information.
Oliver Pocher: “I hope attendance is compulsory”
Now it should be on July 26th. Pocher’s lawyer Dr. Patricia Cronemeyer (44) told the tabloid: “We are pleased that the oral hearing can finally take place in July and have every confidence that the lawsuit will be dismissed. The joking TV report in question hurts Mr. Becker in in no way in his rights, neither in his right to his own image nor in his general right of personality.”
And Oliver Pocher has already reacted. In an Instagram story he reposted a news item about the scheduled date and wrote: “I hope attendance is mandatory.” He is likely alluding to the fact that his opponent Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for delaying bankruptcy at the end of April and is currently serving this sentence in Wandsworth prison in London.
