Bouygues Telecom joins Orange and SFR in reducing its promotional periods from 12 to 6 months, which considerably increases the price of its packages. The operator had already started the transition on its mobile plans, it today confirms the trial on its Internet offers. It even allows itself to add a little surprise, by increasing the price of its packages by €1 to €2.
Orange was the first to take action, at the beginning of October, by reducing its promotional periods for packages from 12 to 6 months. It doesn’t seem like much, said like that. However, on the total bill, the first year of subscription, the user is entitled to an increase of €100 on average compared to before. Unsurprisingly, SFR quickly followed in its competitor’s footsteps, using exactly the same technique.
While Free looks at its rivals without flinching, Bouygues Telecom, for its part, seemed more hesitant. The operator started by applying the same formula to some of its mobile and fiber plans, as if to test the waters. We didn’t have to wait long for the latter to decide to do the same for the rest of its box offers. It is now done.

After calculating, we see that the Bbox Must costs €96 more than before per year, while the Bbox Ultym costs an increase of €120 per year all the same.
