The manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins returns to the wireless headset market with a high-end model that promises very good audio quality. The Px7 S2 follows the PX7 launched almost three years ago.

The care is based on the audio quality

Bowers & Wilkins’ ambition with these new over-ear headphones is to offer the best possible audio quality. For this, the brand uses two 40 mm speakers developed for the helmet. The latter has Qualcomm aptXTM technology, a Bluetooth codec that allows the transmission of CD-quality audio tracks.

Bowers & Wilkins offers a digital signal processing (DSP) developed by itself and advertises ” Exceptional 24-bit Hi-Res sound quality from compatible streaming platforms “.

A sound that you can enjoy for a maximum of 30 hours before having to recharge the headphones. Bowers & Wilkins says 15 minutes of charging can provide up to 7 hours of listening time.

Active noise reduction is part of it

The Px7 S2 has an active noise canceling feature that helps reduce surrounding noise, isolating the listener and allowing music to be heard better. To pick up outside noise, this headset has six microphones, including “ two meter speaker output, two react to ambient noise from the outside world, and two deliver exceptional voice clarity with enhanced noise cancellation “.

To connect the headset, several choices are offered. There is the Bluetooth connection obviously, but also via a 3.5 mm jack cable and via a USB-C cable (both provided). The Px7 S2 works with the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, which allows you to pair the headphones, use the sound equalizer, manage transparency modes and display the battery level.

The brand further announces that ” the music app will add the ability for users to stream the music of their choice directly from their mobile device to their Px7 S2 “. To pair the headphones precisely, the quick start guide specifies that you can use quick pairing on iOS (version 12 or more) or Google’s Fast Pair for devices running Android 6 minimum.

But it is not only via the application that we can control the helmet, since buttons are present on the helmet. Thanks to these commands, you can activate a voice assistant for example.
