Quentin Dupieux makes his mark at the box office for the 1st day in France! On this little Wednesday of releases, without a blockbuster or superhero franchise, it’s Incredible but truea French comedy, which therefore comes out on top this week.
Quentin Dupieux achieves the 2nd best start of his career, just behind Au Poste, which had gathered 27,059 spectators in July 2018. Incredible but true, carried by a 4-star cast (Alain Chabat, Léa Drucker, Benoît Magimel and Anaïs Demoustier) stronger than Le Daim with Jean Dujardin and Mandibules, the latest feature by Dupieux, a very prolific filmmaker.
In 2nd place, we find another French film, Brotherhoodby Karole Rocher and Barbara Biancardini, with a less convincing start than Black Snake, released in February 2019. Fratè gathered 7,197 curious people against 19,243 admissions for Black Snake The legend of the snake.
On this rather quiet Wednesday in terms of new releases, the blockbusters released in previous weeks should continue to reign supreme, including Jurassic World 3 and Top Gun Maverick. Remember that Buzz Lightyear, and Elvis the new Baz Luhrmann, will be released on Wednesday, June 22.
PILS – This way the cinema releases of 06/15/2022
