Miracle for Miraculous ! The masked heroine, who is a great success in her TV adventures, in France and around the world, has transformed the trial, by achieving a superb start in the cinema. If we take into account its previews, the film directed by Jérémy Zag comes first, ahead of Indiana Jones 5 ! The animated feature has accumulated 660,421 admissions (including 85,721 tickets sold during previews).
If we disregard the previews, Indiana Jones exceeds the French animated film with 643,714 tickets sold this week. It should be noted, however, that the number of entries for Indy 5 is down sharply compared to last week (- 41%). Note that last week’s figures had been boosted by the promotional rate in effect during the Film Festival. This decline was therefore quite predictable. And Indiana Jones will have to face a new competitor, starting next week, in the person of Tom – Ethan Hunt – Cruise! Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny should pass the pretty milestone of 2 million admissions next week.
The Pixar movie of the summer, Elementary, is now 3rd, and has largely exceeded one million tickets sold, with a total, in the 3rd week, of 1.4 million admissions. And if you’re looking for animated films to watch with the family, here are some suggestions for the summer!
In addition to Miraculous, three other novelties manage to find a place in the Top 10 of the week, starting with the horror film Insidious: The Red Door (4th, with 306,107 entries).
Just after, in 5th place, excellent score for the exit ofAsterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra. More than 20 years after its release, Alain Chabat’s film attracted 183,334 spectators. And if these spectators stayed until the end of the credits, they were able to discover a nice surprise!
The rest of the classification is very super-heroic, with the Spider Verse, Transformers 7 (which has just exceeded one million admissions) and The Flash. Note two French comedies, respectively in 7th and 10th position, Master Poutifard’s Revengenow very close to 300,000 admissions, and the new yo mama (78,717 entries).
