The mother of the ten-year-old child killed with a knife and found in a suitcase this week in Seine-et-Marne was indicted on Sunday for intentional homicide and imprisoned, announced the prosecutor of Meaux. The boy’s body was discovered in the village of Ferrières-en-Brie on January 27.

Rebound in the case of the boy found dead in a suitcase. The mother of the 10-year-old child has been indicted for intentional homicide and imprisoned, the prosecution announced. During the two days in police custody following her arrest on Friday, the 33-year-old woman “did not explain the facts, which she evaded” and was “evasive” about her actions after the death of his son, said prosecutor Laureline Peyrefitte in a press release.

Investigators have, however, gathered so far against her “serious and consistent evidence of the commission of the murder of her child” Wednesday morning, said the prosecution.

The boy had been stabbed to death and found in a suitcase this week in Ferrières-en-Brie, Seine-et-Marne. The mother “would have then transported the child in a suitcase belonging to the parental couple, to deposit him in a rubble dumpster, before returning to clean his house and throw various objects used for cleaning in a trash can in the neighborhood”, described the prosecutor Laureline Peyrefitte. Worried about not finding anyone at home on his way home from work, the father of the family reported the disappearance of his wife and their son on Wednesday evening.

The mother has no “established psychiatric history”

The important search operations resulted, Thursday morning, in the macabre discovery of the body of the child curled up inside a suitcase on wheels, a hundred meters from the house. The autopsy shows that he was “killed with a bladed weapon, knife”, according to the prosecution. The mother was arrested the next morning at her sister’s house in Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne), about thirty kilometers from the scene. She had with her a bloody knife, which has yet to be analyzed.

The woman does not “have an established psychiatric history” but relatives have reported “sometimes inconsistent behavior”, reported Laureline Peyrefitte.
