Brad Pitt: Movement in the custody battle with Angelina Jolie

There is some movement in the custody battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Pitt reportedly demands more time with the children.

The custody battle between Angelina Jolie (45, "Crazy") and Brad Pitt (56, "Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood") is entering a new round. Pitt allegedly demands that custody of their six children be shared equally. At least that is what the US site "Entertainment Tonight" claims to have learned from an unspecified source.

"Brad would like custody to be split 50:50 and stay that way," the source said. Jolie wants to be fair about that, it continues. However, she was "very structured" with the children, but Pitt had high hopes that an agreement could be reached that could also be implemented.

Pitt didn't want to go to court

This is now to be decided again in a court hearing. The ex-couple had actually already negotiated and signed a custody agreement in 2018. However, further negotiations on the matter had recently stalled. Jolie wanted her divorce judge, John W. Ouderkirk, to pull her case off in August 2020. This is allegedly biased.

Brad Pitt has allegedly tried to prevent a fight in court for years, the source said. However, he now has the feeling that he is "no longer given any choice".

Divorce proceedings have been running since 2016

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met and fell in love while filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". They are parents to three birth and three adopted children between the ages of 12 and 19. The wedding took place in 2012. The two-part divorce process has been running since 2016 – while they have been officially divorced since 2019.
