Brady wins completely unharmed
NFL witnessed several quarterback dramas
On the second day of the NFL there are only two favorite teams without defeat. Superstar Tom Brady plays in one of them, of course. For the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the duel with the Atlanta Falcons is injury-free. Many of his competitors are not that lucky.
On a day with multiple quarterback injuries, the Kansas City Chiefs surprisingly conceded their first NFL loss of the season. Against the Baltimore Ravens there was a 35:36 for the Super Bowl champion of 2020. In the duel between the two top quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, the Ravens around Jackson had the better end for themselves. Jackson came up with a touchdown pass and two self-run touchdowns as well as strong actions in critical phases of the game. “Just keep going and don’t give up,” Jackson told NBC. Mahomes threw for three touchdowns.
Previously, Tom Brady had led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with five touchdown passes to 48:25 against the Atlanta Falcons. Of the biggest favorites at the Super Bowl, the defending champion is the only remaining team without a defeat after just two game days next to the Los Angeles Rams. “I think we can get better,” said seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady. “The win feels good and there is a lot to build on.”
Numerous quarterback colleagues had to abandon their missions injured before. Tua Tagovailoa only played in the first quarter at 0:28 the Miami Dolphins against the Buffallo Bills and then fell out with a rib injury. Andy Dalton injured his knee at the 20:17 Chicago Bears against the Cincinnati Bengals and had to give up his challenger Justin Fields again.
In the Houston Texans, the game for Tyrod Taylor ended prematurely. At 21:31 against the Cleveland Browns, he could not continue after his own touchdown.
