Break out the shovels but put away the pitchforks: Shovel Knight Dig will be released on September 23

Difficult at first glance to differentiate this spin-off from the original series, and in particular from the first Shovel Knight, released eight years ago. However, the knight will finally take advantage of his shovel to do something other than bounce and go to the right or left screen: this time, he digs and he goes to the screen below.

More drills, more bonuses to collect, but still the same enemies, the same designs icons and of course Jake Kaufman on the music, we only marginally change a winning formula that has been revisited many times lately. However, the linear adventure is over, the procedural generation of levels will disrupt the habits of players, with why not, we imagine, a small side roguelite which would go so well with this new vision.

The answer will be given on September 23, the release date of Shovel Knight Dig for $24.99 on Switch, Steam, and Apple Arcade. It remains expected later on PlayStation and Xbox.
