Actor Brian Austin Green explains how dieting destroyed his health: he was bedridden and unable to speak.

He changed his diet – and had no idea that he would ruin his health. Actor Brian Austin Green (50) spoke in a podcast about a serious illness that left him confined to bed for three months. “It took me a total of four and a half years to recover from stroke-like symptoms, even though I never had a stroke,” said Green.

He suffered from ulcerative colitis, dizziness and neurological symptoms: “I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t read. I couldn’t write,” said the father of five children. “I got to the point where I was shuffling like a 90-year-old.”

Inflammation caused by gluten and dairy products

His doctors were at a loss for a long time, Green continued: Almost 200 blood tests and two MRIs still didn’t produce a clear diagnosis; according to Western medicine, no cause for the symptoms could be identified: “I first had to find a doctor who was more familiar with kinesiology and Far Eastern medicine.”

He then discovered that the actor was suffering from inflammation. A change in diet was to blame: the inflammation was caused by “gluten and dairy products”. Stress also contributed to his illness.

“I was so confused that I introduced my best friend, who I’ve known for 25 years, to my sister. She’s also known him for 25 years,” Green continued.

The ex-husband of Hollywood star Megan Fox (37) is now doing better again. He has been in a relationship with Australian dancer Sharna Burgess (38) since 2020, and son Zane Walker was born in the summer of last year.
