- The ‘Bridgerton’ spin-off has found a large chunk of its cast.
- It is now clear who will play the younger versions of Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury.
- The young King George III. is found.
It was announced in May 2021 that Queen Charlotte from “Bridgerton” would have her own spin-off. Now Netflix announces the first actors and actresses of the “Bridgerton” offshoot.
India Amarteifio (“Line of Duty”) follows in Golda Rosheuvel’s footsteps and will play the younger version of the Queen. Don’t worry though, Rosheuvel is back in her role as well, along with Ruth Gemmell as Violet and Adjoa Ando as Lady Danbury.
The younger version of Lady Danbury will be played by newcomer Arsema Thomas, the younger counterpart of Violet has not yet been found.
Other confirmed actors and actors include Corey Mylchreest (“Sandman”) as young George III, Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark from “Game of Thrones”) as George’s mother Princess Augusta, Sam Clemmett as young Brimsley (“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”), Richard Cunningham (“The Witcher”) as Lord Bute, Tunji Kasim (“Nancy Drew”) as Adolphus, Rob Maloney (“Casualty”) as the Royal Doctor, Cyril Nri (“Cucumber”) as Lord Danbury and Hugh Sachs as the elder Brimsley.
The series tells the story of Charlotte and George’s marriage and how it produced a great love story, but above all a great social change. Showrunner is Shonda Rhimes, Tom Verica is directing and executive producing with Betsy Beers.
In addition to the spin-off, “Bridgerton” season 3 is of course already confirmed. In the new episodes we even see Kate and Anthony Bridgerton again. Season 3 most likely revolves around the love life of Benedict Bridgerton.
