British actress Viscella “Vikki” Richards is said to have been found dead after a break-in. She was 79 years old.
British actress Viscella Richards, better known by her stage name Vikki Richards, has apparently died. According to media reports, Richards, who lived in the Caribbean country of Trinidad and Tobago, was found dead in her home in the town of Valsalyn last Wednesday (March 6). She was 79 years old.
Vikki Richards died after burglary
The 79-year-old is said to have been found tied up in her bedroom by a nurse. Burglars are said to have previously gained access to the house and ransacked their belongings. According to a police report quoted by the British Mirror, there were no signs of violence on her body. The police suspect that Richards may have suffered a heart attack.
“She was beautiful”
Vikki Richards was born on December 29, 1949 on the island of Trinidad, which was then a British colony. According to Trinidadian news site Newsday She migrated to England at the age of eight, where she later started her acting career. According to her “Imdb” profile Richards was seen in the films “The Witch of Count Dracula” (1968), “Zeta One” (1969) and “Black Snake” (1973), among others, as well as repeatedly in small supporting roles in series. The actress made her last television appearance in the series “Mind Your Language” in 1986.
Richards is said to have later moved back to Trinidad and Tobago, but continued to spend time in England. Family members told Newsday that even in retirement and despite suffering from dementia, she still worked at a local theater and occasionally appeared on local television. “She loved performing, she never stopped,” the site quotes. Richards was “simply beautiful,” according to her relatives: “Not just her looks, her soul was beautiful.”
