British Royals: After the lockdown, staff will be sought again

Back to normal after the corona lockdown: The British royal family has vacancies on offer again after just under three months.

The corona pandemic did not stop at the British royal family either. In addition to Prince Charles' (71) infection with the virus, the crisis was mainly expressed in closed palace doors and the associated thinning ranks of employees. In May, the royals around Queen Elizabeth II (94) stopped hiring new people, all advertised positions were deleted. Now, for the first time, life in the royal residences seems to be returning to normal. New job offers have been published on the official website.

We are looking for construction managers, maintenance technicians and project managers

Queen Elizabeth II has two vacancies at Windsor Castle. For example, she is looking for a site manager for the treasurer's office. The terms: A 40-hour week in which the daily work is monitored "which is carried out on the entire Royal Estate in Windsor". The planning of "work of varying magnitude", including maintenance or restoration projects, would also be part of it. There is an annual salary of 30,000 pounds (around 33,000 euros). A maintenance technician is also wanted. The annual salary for this is £ 25,000 to £ 30,000.

Not only Queen Elizabeth II is looking for new employees, but also Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla (73) as well as Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) have vacancies again. Both couples have published a tender for a project manager in the London residence St James's Palace.
