Do you dare to take the next step in your relationship? Britney Spears and Sam Asghari apparently want to get engaged soon.
Britney Spears (39) and boyfriend Sam Asghari (27) supposedly want to take the next step in their relationship: The couple “absolutely” want an engagement and forge family plans, explains an insider in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”. “It was never a question, ‘Will it happen?’ It was always about when, “says the anonymous source. An engagement is “of course” the next step.
“All your dreams about relationships had to pause because of the guardianship,” continues the insider. “They couldn’t develop like a normal, adult couple.” For the two of them it has been “like dating in high school” for the past two years. As another indication of an imminent engagement, fans see new photos, the “TMZ” are available and Asghari shopping in a jewelry store and possibly looking for an engagement ring.
The singer and Asghari met in 2016 while filming their music video for “Slumber Party”, later agreed to meet and became a couple. Spears has been married twice. Her second marriage to dancer Kevin Federline (43) lasted from 2004 to 2007. She has two sons, Sean (15) and Jayden (14).
Guardianship dispute in the last legs?
In mid-August, her father Jamie Spears (69) announced in a court document that he would end his daughter’s guardianship “when the time is right”. When this will actually be the case, he left it completely open, but the singer’s environment already celebrated the statement like a final victory in court.
Spears was incapacitated in 2008 and her father Jamie was used as a guardian. The 39-year-old has been fighting against this guardianship for some time. Her election of a new lawyer had been approved in July. He then officially submitted an application to replace the singer’s father as financial guardian.
