The court revokes her father’s guardianship
US court revokes Britney Spears’ father after 13 years of guardianship.

After 13 years and months of fighting in court, Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was suspended as guardian.
US singer Britney Spears (39) has been fighting for months in court to end the guardianship of her father Jamie Spears (69), who has managed her finances since 2008, among other things. Now he’s been suspended as reported by the “People” magazine, among others.
A week after Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart asked the court to suspend her father and officially appoint a temporary successor, Judge Brenda Penny did so on Wednesday in Los Angeles, swapping Jamie Spears for John Zabel. “This decision is in the wards’ best interests, which is my goal,” said Penny. Zabel will hold the post of provisional guardian until December 31st.
Jamie Spears “doesn’t belong another day in her life”
Rosengart, who was present in the courtroom, accused Jamie Spears of being “cruel” and “abusive” to his daughter, noting that his client wanted, “needed” and “deserved” an “orderly transition”. “This man doesn’t belong in her life for another day,” said Rosengart.
Shortly after the suspension became known, Britney’s fiancé Sam Asghari (27) posted in an Instagram story: “Free Britney! Congratulations !!!”
Britney Spears is on “cloud nine”
The US singer has also responded in the meantime on Instagram. She posted a video showing her sitting next to a pilot and piloting an airplane. She writes: “On cloud 9 at the moment !!!!
