Britney Spears supporters cheer for the latest developments. Are Cher, Paris Hilton and Co. looking forward to early?
The news hit like a bomb: Father Jamie Spears (69) announced in a court document that he would end the guardianship of his daughter Britney Spears (39) “when the time is right”. When this will actually be the case, he left it completely open, but the singer’s environment is already celebrating the statement like a final victory in court.
Her mother Lynne Spears (66), who was repeatedly attacked publicly by her ex-husband Jamie due to her alleged passivity, has already had a statement published about her lawyer, which is available, among other things, on the portal of the TV broadcaster “E! Entertainment”. It said Lynne would welcome Jamie’s decision.
Britney’s mother is herself suspected of having allegedly diverted several million dollars for herself in the course of her daughter’s guardianship. Her ex-husband, of all people, is said to have denounced her in court. In the past few months, however, Lynne has often expressed herself negatively about the guardianship and supported her daughter in being able to end it promptly.
Cher and Paris Hilton speak up
In the meantime, the first celebrities also spoke up and expressed their joy at the current developments. Above all Paris Hilton (40) on Twitterwhich, however, presumably already assumes that the guardianship has already ended. Posting an article in The New York Times, she commented, “I’m so glad to hear this news. It’s been so long overdue, but I’m so happy that Britney is on her way to being free. I’m broadcasting so much love!”
Singer Cher (75) apparently also assumes that the guardianship has already ended and gives her colleague also via Twitter a first tip for the first steps in freedom. You should get an auditor to the side, if possible to take a close look at the financial transactions of the last few years. You couldn’t be happier, Cher continues.
And also the comedian Whitney Cummings (38) announced on Twitter their comment on the latest developments. Her post stated that she was still ready to support Britney Spears. Everyone from the group of employees should testify. If they breached the confidentiality clauses, they would personally pay the penalty.
The singer and Grammy winner Dionne Warwick, 80, spoke on Twitter of “wonderful things” that could happen if just stood together. It is great that so many people have supported Britney.
Fans are already celebrating, process observers are stepping on the brakes
Many fans also commented on the father’s announcement and already celebrated it largely as a final victory for the #FreeBritney movement. Sometimes there was already a desire for revenge to be read here. One Britney Spears supporter wants Jamie straight to jail, while others want her father to be investigated immediately. At the moment, however, there can be no question of that at all.
American trial observers meanwhile made it clear in various comments that so far there has been no real withdrawal from Jamie Spears as guardian. It is suspected, however, that with this announcement he would like to enter into direct negotiations with Spears and her lawyer to negotiate a deal. In this way, he could possibly avoid investigations against himself. Although the announcement is a step towards freedom for Britney, the last word has not yet been spoken.
