The Epic Games Store offers the PC version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s not the adaptation of the century, but there is reason to have a good time in this month of January when you want to do nothing.
Since its creation several years ago, the Epic Games Store has regularly offered video games. And not small productions. Until January 11, 2024, at 5 p.m., you can collect Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy without paying anything. Developed by Eidos-Montreal and published by Square Enix, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy places you in the shoes of Star-Lord, the leader of the troupe known for its mischief. This adaptation is not the best possible, but it will perhaps allow you to have a good (first) weekend in January, between two moments of digesting the galette des rois. In any case, the game has arguments to convince you.
You will laugh at Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
If it is not a reproduction of the trilogy of films directed by James Gunn, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy still takes the uninhibited tone. This is its main strength: it relies on a narration full of jokes and crazy situations to make us want to follow Star-Lord and his gang to the ends of the galaxy. So we laugh a lot at this video game, which is very endearing despite its awkward gameplay. As a bonus, there are great references to the world of pop culture.
Because it is paradoxically on the action part that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy fishing, with repetitive fights which can be annoying over time (especially since there are so many of them). Sometimes you have to show a little indulgence, waiting for the next moment when the pointless discussions resume. In short, you have to dig.
On the Epic Games Stores, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy displays a score of 4.7 out of 5. Players highlight the boss fights, the casting, the story, its side ” extremely fun », its accessibility and its quick-to-master gameplay.
Note that you can spend a whole weekend in the colors of Guardians of the Galaxy since the third film is broadcast on Canal+. Something to laugh about in the company of people who could be our friends.
